ETB-BISLIFE streeft ernaar om de kennis en inzicht over het gebruik van humane donorweefsels te vergroten. Hiertoe wordt wetenschappelijk onderzoek geïnitieerd, mede uitgevoerd en ondersteund. Verder wordt in relevante gevallen een financiële bijdrage geleverd aan de totstandkoming van proefschriften waarvan het hoofdonderwerp raakvlakken heeft met de toepassing van humane weefseltransplantaten.
